Awards Show Workout Game: No Equipment Required!

With the People’s Choice Awards last Wednesday and the Golden Globes tomorrow, it’s safe to say that red carpet season is in full swing! Considering I’m a music, movie and Project Runway junkie, these events are pretty much mandatory viewing in my book. The surprisingly eloquent speeches, the entertaining performances, the beautiful fashion…it’s all good!

What’s not so good: Sitting on the couch for more than seven hours straight. If you watched the entire E! pre-show and telecast of the Golden Globes tomorrow, you’d be stationary from 3-10 p.m. CT (and likely later, considering how these shows run long!). Eek!

Enter my Red Carpet Workout Game. Use it as a guide to squeeze in a fun, total body circuit workout at home—no equipment necessary! Don’t forget to pin this to use for the Grammys, SAG Awards, etc., and feel free to add your own “rules” to spice things up or hit other muscle groups.  Some ideas:

  • Push-ups
  • Punches and kicks
  • Fast feet
  • Step-ups
  • Jumping lunges
  • High knees
