What’s Not to Love? Workout Playlist

Happy Valentine’s week! Any big plans for the holiday? It should be pretty much business as usual around these parts, except for maybe busting out in a little of this action:

Thanks to my friend Kim and a Time magazine app she passed along, I now know that if I was on track with my average Facebook friend, I’d be married in 8 months and 9 days. Ha! Rather than dwelling on being behind the curve, I’m counting my blessings that I have more time to perfect my “single ladies” moves. Now where can I get one of those one-sleeved leotards and when are back-up dancer tryouts, B?

While my holiday celebrations might be low-key, including a few outings with girlfriends, I have been having a blast celebrating with my fitness classes this week! We spiced up our Monday and Wednesday classes with a romantic playlist. It includes two hours of fast and slow beats to keep you moving from warm-up to cooldown—and beyond! And since this mix packs everything from Ingrid Michaelson to Icona Pop (and some Beyonce, natch), there’s bound to be something for everyone to love. ;)

What song(s) make you melt?

This one gets me every. time.

P.S.: Don’t forget to enter my Spartan Race giveaway before Sunday!

  1. What a great idea!! That makes me want to make a playlist for single liberated women that hate Valentine’s Day! Hahaha!

  2. Love this playlist – and the GIF! That OneRepublic song is definitely melt-worthy. This may sound really cheesy, but I swoon every time I hear the song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. Yes, it was made for the Twilight movies…but it’s just so ridiculously sweet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtOvBOTyX00&feature=kp.

    • That’s not cheesy at all, Jenn—I agree and adore that song! It’s beyond sweet. I’m also a fan of her song, “Human.” Christina Perri’s so talented!

Hope your Valentine’s Day has been filled with lots of love!
